On February 12th, the Samba School Mocidade Independente de Padre Miguel, located in Rio de Janeiro, performed its parade at Marquês de Sapucaí Sambadrome, enchanting the “foliões” (people who celebrate the Carnival). In this year, the school chose India as its theme, under the plot “Namaste, the star that lives in me greets the star that lives in you!”. The parade counted with a lot of music, dance, technology and Indian elements to show the similarities between the Asiatic country and Brazil. The Samba lyrics transmitted happiness and ensured the 6th position on the ranking of the Special Group of Samba Schools of Rio de Janeiro.
